“Fireside Stories” launched by Denis and Josephine O’Higgins

Best wishes to Monaghan Network member Denis O’Higgins from Aghintamy outside Monaghan town on the recent publication of his book “Fireside Miscellany”, a collection of Irish memories, meanderings and history. The book contains 43 short stories, with 8 of them written by his wife Josephine, featuring childhood memories, historic events, farming methods, places they have visited, the Cahans Presbyterian exodus, and recollections of growing up on a rural Roscommon farm during the 50s and 60s.… Read More >
